Quickly and easily communicate with co-workers using the new built-in chat tool.

Web Sched Existing Patient Overhaul

The Web Sched Existing Patient eService has a new look!

Custom Branding in eClipboard 25 and eClipboard Web

eClipboard users can now easily set custom branding to be used in the eClipboard 25 app and eClipboard Web.

Set your preferred color scheme and add your logo, so patients see a familiar brand image.

Appointment Mirroring

Now you can easily mirror appointments, so they show up in two different operatories – without having to create an additional appointment.

There are several new options throughout the program including Appointment View Edit, Preferences, and Edit Appointment, to set up the Appointment Mirroring feature. Use the Help Feature to find out more.

Insurance Changes

Exclusions and Age Limits Consider Tooth Number

You can now assign Tooth Numbers to an exclusion or age limit.

Updated Interface for Other Insurance Benefits

You can now more easily make changes to Other Benefits from the Edit Benefits window. Quickly make changes by editing right from the grid instead of opening a new window.

Easier Reference for In-Network Plans

The Insurance Plans list now includes a column for “In-Net” so you can quickly differentiate your in-network vs out-of-network plans.

Plans with a type of PPO Percentage, PPO Fixed Benefit, Medicaid or Flat Co-pay, or Capitation are considered in-network.

Changes to Permissions and Audit Trail

Several permissions were renamed to add additional information about their functionality.

The following additional details are now logged in the Audit Trail

• More information when moving or editing appointments
• Changes to preferred name

Miscellaneous Changes

• A QR Code is available to scan from the Support Status window to access Help Feature from a mobile device.
• New CareCredit Setup option to set a Merchant Refund Adjustment Type to offset adjustments created by merchant fees.
• New preference to bypass global lock on Payment Plans.
• Notes area added to the Edit Vital Signs window.
• Ortho Chart window can remain open while accessing other areas of Open Dental.
• Improved user tracking for Web Sched ASAP messages.

2026 CDT Codes

The 2026 CDT Codes are now available for version 25.2.64, 25.3.35, and greater. Check out our recent blog post for more information on how to download the latest codes in Open Dental.
