The finish line for 2023 is in sight. We hope it’s been a transformative year for your practice. We have had an amazing year of growth and transformation here at Open Dental, and we wanted to share some of the details with you.

Open Dental Campus Highlights:

We moved many more team members into Building G. There are currently 106 team members in this building, which will eventually house 176 people.

We continued to move more teams into Building D. There are currently 112 team members in this building, which may eventually house up to 500 team members.

Cool features in Building D:

A full gym on the first floor, complete with free weights and various other workout equipment.

Computer Labs have been created on the second floor. These rooms allow us to have both small and large group training sessions. For now, they are being used for employee training.

The main break room in Building D sports cool lighting, and things are looking very festive for the holidays.

The Open Dental Child Development Center

Construction has begun on a 3-story building that will house the Open Dental Child Development Center and parents of enrolled children. The planned capacity is for 100 children, ages birth to pre-K.

There will be eight play/classrooms, a kitchen, a covered outdoor area, a 1,500 square foot kids gymnasium, and more. With the critical shortage in daycare options, this is a much-anticipated addition to our campus, especially by our staff who are currently expecting. We anticipate opening sometime in September 2024.

Meet Sisyphus, Our Artist-in-Residence

The reception area in Building D now has a kinetic artist that creates beautiful designs all day long.

Recruiting Summary:

From January 1 to November 30, 2023, we hired:

• 94 Support Technicians
• 6 Software Engineers (who program the features in Open Dental)
• 1 Software Engineer Intern
• 9 Facilities Team Members (to take care of our growing campus)
