The 2026 CDT codes are now available in Open Dental versions 25.2.62, 25.3.32, or greater. There are 31 new codes, 23 revisions or editorial changes, and 6 deletions this year1.
Open Dental users can update to an applicable version and run the D Codes Procedure Code tool in order to access the latest CDT codes in your Open Dental database. Click the ? icon from the Update window to access the Help Feature and see detailed information and instructions for updating Open Dental.
TECH TIP: While you can update to a necessary version at any time, we do not recommend updating the CDT codes until you have finished seeing patients for 2025. This prevents any new CDT codes from being accidentally sent on claims.
