The Imaging Module is your one-stop shop for scanning and storing documents and capturing images. In this post, we’ll review some of the highlights of the Imaging Module.

Retain Copies of Important Documents

Copies of important documents, like Treatment Plans, Payment Plans, and completed Patient Forms, can be automatically retained in the Imaging Module.

Scan Documents

You can quickly and easily scan single and multi-page documents right into the patient’s file – no need to scan outside of Open Dental and import. This means it’s a breeze to scan in IDs or insurance cards.

Import Documents

If you’ve downloaded a document (like an insurance breakdown) or have a document that’s otherwise stored outside of Open Dental, you can import those documents or images right into the patient’s file.

Custom Folders

The folders, or Categories, where files are stored in the Imaging Module are completely customizable. Add new folders and rename them as needed. Easily drag and drop files from another category to use these folders to efficiently organize files and images.

Take and Store Images

From the Imaging Module, you can easily take x-rays using a compatible TWAIN sensor. No need for a third-party x-ray software! You can also use the video capture feature to take photos using a compatible webcam or intraoral camera.
