So far in 2026 we have celebrated National Children’s Dental Health Month, National Toothache Day, Dental Assistants Recognition Week, and National Dentist Day! If you’ve missed these dental holidays, no stress! Here are more upcoming holidays in 2026 to celebrate your team and patients.
National Dental Hygienist Week
Show a little extra appreciation to your hygienists during the second week of April. This week is a time to recognize dental hygienists for the important role they play in keeping smiles healthy.
Some offices may choose to celebrate April 5th through 11th, others may choose April 12th through 18th. Whichever you choose, make sure to celebrate!
National Receptionist Day
Show some love and attention to your front office staff on May 13th with National Receptionists Day. This also falls on Root Canal Day, so you get to celebrate a few patients as well!

National Smile Day
Smile wide! We’re celebrating everybody with National Smile Day on May 31st!
Leave the Office Early Day
Close those operatories early this June 2nd, because Leave the Office Early Day is a day to remind you to take some time for yourself.
International Retainer Day
Where’s that retainer we haven’t worn since high school? That’s exactly why we are challenging ourselves by celebrating International Retainer Day on July 19th.
National Fresh Breath Day
August 6th takes time to appreciate a minty smile. Rinse with some mouthwash and enjoy National Fresh Breath Day.

Tooth Fairy Day
Did you know the Tooth Fairy is so popular, she gets two Tooth Fairy Days? The going rate for the Tooth Fairy is currently $5.84/tooth. Hand over that cash on August 22nd, then again next year on February 28th.
Office Manager Appreciation Month
Your office manager would never let you forget Office Manager Appreciation Month, celebrated all September long. They are keeping you on track with everything else, after all.
National Gum Care Month
Also celebrated in September is National Gum Care Month. This is a great opportunity to remind your patients of the importance of healthy gums.
Dental Hygiene Month
Get those recalls scheduled, because you can celebrate National Dental Hygiene Month in October.
World Smile Day
Smiles get a little extra love. Celebrate your smile worldwide on October 1st with World Smile Day.
National Brush Day
November 1st is National Brush Day! This is a day to remind us all the importance of brushing your teeth!
National Flossing Day
